I have devoted much more time to research on college sports. Evaluating statistics, really college basketball is the only sport in which one can get a true measure of skill and success. With college and pro football, everything suffers from small number statistics, essentially meaning a few weird results can greatly skew over-all stats. (This is especially true in the NFL, with only about 270 games played each year.) The NBA has changed its culture considerably in recent years - "small ball" has given it much more variance, and star players are constantly resting for unknown reasons.

Despite all of the above, I believe that as of the Fall of 2025, I have finally worked out all the unique issues pertaining to each league, and now have the highest confidence I've had since the early days (when I had no idea just how difficult predictions really are).
